Prof. Dr. Peter Rutherford, Scientific Advisor to Peripal AG.

Vice President Integrated Market Access for Europe and Emerging Markets at Quintiles. Before joining Quintiles, he has been Medical Director (Renal) for Europe, Middle East and Africa for Baxter Healthcare SA, based in Zurich.He is a visiting Professor in the Faculty of Healthcare and Fellow at Glyndwr University in Wales, UK. Prof. Dr. Peter Rutherford received his PhD in 1994 from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He is trained in Nephrology at the University of Newcastle, UK and Yale University School of Medicine, USA. He was Senior Lecturer in Nephrology at the University of Wales, College of Medicine from 1996 and Medical Director for North East Wales NHS Trust in Wrexham from 2002. He worked for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) from 2002, within the clinical guidelines program.

Prof. Dr. Stephan Segerer, MD Advisor to Peripal AG.

Prof. Segerer received his master and promotion in medical science from the University of Regensburg and the Technical University (TU) in Munich. He is a trained in nephrology, internal medicine, and angiology and is Director of the end-stage renal failure program of the Division of Nephrology at the University Hospital in Z├╝rich. He held medical positions in nephrology atthe Medical Policlinic of the University in Munich and was scientific fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle. His habilitation and research publications focus on the chemokine factors involved in inflammatory mechanism in endogenous kidney diseases. He is a member of the US, Swiss, and German Societies of Nephrology and a member of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis. His clinical expertise is focused on renal replacement therapy, particularly the use of Peritoneal Dialysis.

Bernhard Zinner, Commercial Advisorto Peripal AG.

Mr. Zinner is the former General Manager Renal for Baxter Healthcare in Austria and he held several management positions in the commercial area of dialysis during last 20 years. An electrical engineer by education, Bernhard joined the Red Cross Austria in 1984 where he served as operations manager for humanitarian projects and worked for the blood bank.Prior to his work for Baxter he founded Vienna based Infus Medizintechnik AG and was its General Manager until the business was acquired by Baxter Healthcare Austria. Bernhard is co-author of several publication in the area of health economics and has excellent contacts within the pharmaceutical and political community in Austria.
